It’s sad to say, but some retailers stock fruit like oranges and bananas that are peeled, then packaged in plastic containers. Although very convenient for on-the-go snacking, these containers only add to our plastic problem. Rather buy fresh fruit – Mother Nature has already packaged them for you – and use the peels to add to your compost heap. It’s a win-win!
TIPPING THE SCALES
