    Cultured Butter & Cheesemaking Workshop

Nestled in the picturesque Piket-Bo-Berg Mountains, Vergesig Farm is a cow-calf microdairy that embraces organic and biodynamic practices. The farm cultivates apples, pears, buchu, and rooibos, producing cold-pressed apple juice and fresh fruit during the summer months.

In this immersive farm-based workshop, participants will rise early to join the milking team in the parlour and learn the art of milking a cow. After walking the cows out to the pasture, enjoy a coffee with fresh warm milk in the field. Using the morning’s fresh milk, participants will then delve into natural cheese and cultured butter making, with the opportunity to take home their creations. The workshop concludes with a light brunch shared together.
