Crêpes and coffee lovers have their prayers answered at Burgundy Estate’s Voilà Café.
The crêperie is located on Viridian Street in Durbanville and serves both sweet and savoury delights.
Voilà truly brings a taste of France to our doorstep through its menu of inspired crêpe dishes.
It serves savoury galettes such as Crêpe Monsieur – the fancy version of the classic ham and cheese dish.
Crêpe Monsieur, the Voilà version, is filled with Gypsy ham, Gruberg cheese, Emmental, mozzarella and bechamel sauce (translation: lots of fancy cheese).
More options to choose from on the menu would be the Chicken Florentine and La Bolognese, among others.
Sweet tooth
Voilà also caters to those fond of sweet crêpes.
Sweet crêpes here are exactly as you see them in the French movies, but here you get to taste them.
The crêpes are even better when served with South African favourites like Nutella.
This is a spot to be enjoyed by kids and adults too; the milkshakes here are quite the spectacle.
The restaurant has also introduced gluten-free and vegan options – this establishment thinks from all angles and cares about patron preferences.
So this summer, make a short left by the Burgundy Sports Complex (next to the golf course), to this lovely red and white themed café.
Join them for coffee and pastries, a meal, dessert, a birthday, or a social catch-up (lunch) with friends, and the staff here will treat you like royalty.
