St George’s Market, also known as St G’s Market, is Cape Town’s inner-city market located at St George’s Mall between Wale and Church Street. The market ran for seven years until 2019 and is now back with a new look and new vendors.

The market was inspired by its location, as St George’s Mall is known as the heart of the city of Cape Town. It was the first pedestrianised street in 1990, and the area is known for trading.
Additionally, the market is now owned and run by locals who live in the CBD.
The modern-day market offers the community a place to gather, feast and exchange ideas. Visitors can also look forward to having delectable lunches and treats from a range of stalls that highlight unique, homemade South African cuisine (and global favourites).
