Local harvest celebrations are always a hoot and seem to be the order of the day this time of the year in Cape Town and its surroundings.
The scenes are family-friendly and accentuated with jubilation through music and dancing and of course, delectable cuisine and plenty of topple.
If you are keen on being a guest at a harvest celebration here are some you can attend:
Goatshed Harvest Lunch
For 18 years, Fairview Wine Farm has been home to the award-winning Goatshed eatery, which hosts the Goatshed Harvest Lunch. This March, every Saturday and Sunday harvest celebrations are ongoing in the form of an opulent lunch bringing together our pastures, vineyards, cellar, dairy, orchards, bakery, fields, forests and gardens.
At Goatshed, the party theme when it comes to harvest celebrations is “Drink wine, Eat well and Be Merry”.
Attending the estate’s Harvest Lunch Table event is nothing short of partaking in the farm’s bountiful produce and its paddock-to-plate experience.
