• If you are like me and enjoy indulging in the culinary adventure that is rice dishes, then the brown tiny nutritional earthy taste of lentils is one that should surely get those taste buds excited.

Lentils are extremely delicious whether paired with a juicy salad or a breyani dish, they are always welcomed in my household. At times it can be challenging to cook lentils, especially if they turn mushy.

We provide a guide on how to prepare your lentils to get that perfect consistency every time.

    1.) Soak overnight:

Give your lentils some time to soak overnight before preparing to cook them.

    2.) Remove any excess dirt:

After the overnight soak, it’s important to rinse your lentils with some water to remove any dirt or debris that could still be on the lentils. We recommend using a sieve to help with the removing of excess dirt and rinse your lentils

3.) Boil a pot of water on the stove:

Fill a pot of your choice with water and allow the water to come to a boil.

    4.) Add lentils to pot:

Add your freshly rinsed lentils to the pot and allow to cook for 15-30 minutes.

    5.) Add spices or flavour:

Add spices or salt to your lentils for additional flavour
