Award-winning media personality, Dineo Ranaka recently added an entrepreneurial cap to her colourful career as she launched her own restaurant.
In partnership with Barney Jiri also known as the Purple Chef, Dineo opened The Untrained Chef restaurant in Johannesburg. The radio personality took to her Instagram page to hint on her recent achievement.
“You know, sometimes you gotta disappear and just mind your business … don’t mind my silence, it’s super healthy. It’s wholesome,” she posted.
Speaking to The South African about her restaurant, Dineo said: “I am just a home cook who loves to cook, but I have surrounded myself with a team of very skilled culinary chefs that head my kitchen… I love to cook and am good at it, so why not?”
She added, “We are the place you come to for guilt-free eating… We are very mindful in our kitchen practices and cooking practices, and we also encourage mindful eating. ”The media personality is undoubtedly stepping back from the spotlight and moving into the kitchen.”
The announcement comes after the media personality came back to social media after keeping away for many months, following her depression woes.
