• The star power of Ready Steady Cook South Africa undoubtedly shines brightest on its charismatic host, Moshe Ndiki. Known for his infectious energy and vibrant personality, Moshe has seamlessly stepped into the role, bringing his unique flair to the beloved cooking show. As viewers tune in to watch celebrity chefs create mouthwatering dishes from five randomly selected food items, it’s Moshe who keeps the magic and madness in perfect harmony.

“We’re thrilled to have Moshe as the on-screen coordinator of all the magic and madness cooked up by the two competing teams on Ready Steady Cook South Africa,” mentioned Anele, co-owner of Rose and Oaks Media, in an article published by S3 (formerly known as SABC 3).

The show features an impressive lineup of well-known chefs, including Wandile Mabaso, Neo Nontso, Fehmida Osman-Latib, Kamini Pather, Kelly Njokweni, Liziwe Matloha, Lorna Maseko, Lufuno Sinthumule, Mmule Setati, and Nthi Ramaboa. Each episode pits one of these culinary stars in the red kitchen against another in the green kitchen.

Moshe’s journey as the host has been nothing short of exhilarating. “It’s been absolutely fantastic,” he shares. “This is the first time I’ve worked in such a fast-paced production, but it actually doesn’t even feel like it. After we are done shooting, I don’t even feel tired. I think it’s because of the amazing people I work with from Primedia and Rosen Oaks Media. They make the job so much fun, and the show itself is just amazing.”

His passion for the show was evident from the start. “I got called up because I’m an award-winning presenter, and I have a love and passion for all things food because of my spices. I just love cooking and entertaining people. So, with food and a camera, it was a no-brainer to become part of the show.”

One of Moshe’s favourite moments from the show thus far involves Chef Funi. “He’s just amazing. He’s so hilarious, and working with him is great. And, of course, all the other chefs. It’s always super hilarious when someone forgets something on the stove, and it’s not on the table.”

Moshe’s culinary background has also been an asset. “My culinary background has definitely helped in judging the dishes. From presentation to the taste of the flavours balanced, even with just 20 minutes, it’s important that the dishes are fully cooked.”

Mr D Delivers inspiration (and ingredients) to your door

The partnership between Ready Steady Cook South Africa and Mr D has added an innovative twist to the show. “I think it’s absolutely fantastic. Watching the show where people prepare dishes in 20 minutes and then scanning the QR code to get those ingredients and recreate the dishes at home is brilliant.”
