• Cake Canteen has opened its third location at The Woodmill in Stellenbosch, just in time to celebrate its first birthday on 1 November – and their third location in less than 12 months!

At Cake Canteen, the motto ‘Collaboration over Competition’ is more than just words—it’s a philosophy that fuels everything they do. Each shop features a Cake Table that’s always brimming with a colourful array of exquisite sweet and savoury treats from top-notch local bakers and artisans, including crowd favourites like The Velvet Cake Co., Café Chiffon, and Short & Sweet.

This November, they’re set to bring their love for baked goods to life by hosting a celebratory market on 1-2 November, inviting customers to indulge in a unique tasting experience. Expect a mouth-watering selection of pastries, cakes, and exclusive drink options, with a welcoming grass area for kids to run and play, making it a treat for the entire family.

“We love building and being part of a community, and that is exactly what Cake Canteen is—a gathering place for people who believe in celebrating life,” say co-owners Jandri and Janke. “Cake Canteen is so much more than just cake. It’s a warm, inviting space where everyone is welcome to savour the big and small moments in life, whether it’s with friends, family, by themselves, or even a playful date day with their kids.”

Adding to the excitement, Cake Canteen has opened a brand-new spot at The Woodmill in Stellenbosch, a chic venue that fits their vision perfectly. The Woodmill location is set to become the ultimate gathering spot, where pink-hued celebrations and sweet treats combine to paint the town in Cake Canteen’s signature style.
