• Coco Safar is delighted to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Prix Fixe Winter Dinner experience. Starting from 13 July through 27 August 2023, where guests can indulge in a delightful 3-course dining affair available daily from 6 pm. This exclusive Prix Fixe Winter Dinner Experience, is a new French brasserie-style dining affair that will delight your taste buds, priced at just R350 per person.

     The menu showcases a symphony of flavours and textures, promising an unforgettable dining adventure. The culinary adventure begins with the Petit Panier de Pain, a selection of artisanal bread from the restaurant’s bakery accompanied by homemade whipped butter. Guests then have the pleasure of selecting one dish per course from an array of delectable options.

     Starters

    Guests can savour the classic French Onion Soup, prepared with 12-hour slow-braised onions, garlic, and thyme, topped with a butter croissant gratiné featuring 12-month Gruberg gruyere and chives. 

    Alternatively, the Aubergine Fumée offers a vegetarian delight with cumin-roasted eggplant, harissa, vegan labneh, mint, and bright light spinach. Another tempting choice is the Chèvre Chaud Salad, featuring warm goat cheese croutons, grilled pear, candied walnuts, and foraged greens.

    Main courses

    The main course options are equally enticing. The Boeuf Bourguignon offers tender slow-braised beef, confit shallots, crispy beef bacon, thyme champignons, served with rice, carrots, and gremolata. Seafood lovers can relish the flavours of the Seafood Pasta, which boasts hand-made egg pasta linguine, prawns, mussels, clams, garlic pomodoro sauce, and a chili crumble with chive oil. 

    Meat enthusiasts will love the Steak Frites, featuring a succulent 250g triple A grade Angus sirloin steak accompanied by fresh hand-cut fries and béarnaise sauce.  

    Then for Vegan enthusiasts the Pondicherry Curry is a must, a delightful combination of roasted butternut, crispy chickpeas, baby spinach, harissa coconut cream, and red & white quinoa garnished with toasted pumpkin seeds.

    Desserts

    No culinary experience would be complete without a sweet ending. Guests can indulge in a Rustic Apple Tarte Tatin accompanied by crème anglaise and Tahitian vanilla ice cream, or opt for the Warm Berry Croissant Clafoutis with fennel & seed biscotti, crème anglaise, and Tahitian vanilla. Additionally, the Pâtisserie du Jour will be plated for your pleasure, showcasing the creativity and artistry of Coco Safar’s esteemed pastry chefs. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available to cater to various dietary preferences.
