    The name RIO LARGO means “wide river”; an apt name for an estate bordering the Breede River in the Western Cape of South Africa. This is desert country with alluvial soils, hot days, cool nights and water on demand to cultivate quality fruit for premium extra virgin olive oil.

    RIO LARGO olive oil is a balance of flavours blended from choice Italian-style cultivars, Frantoio, Coratina, Leccino and FS 17, which together make an award winning combination. Beautifully fresh and fragrant with a delicious fruity, slightly bitter and pungent flavour.
