• Cheese and bacon burgers

    Cheese and bacon burgers add a gourmet touch to our favourite weeknight meal. Make our ultimate gourmet burger recipe!

     

    INGREDIENTS

    • 500g beef mince
    • 3 tbsp BBQ spice
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • pinch of salt
    • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 50 g salted butter

    For the burger

    • fresh rolls (toasted)
    • cheese
    • rocket
    • burger mayonnaise
    • bacon

     

    METHOD

    In a bowl, mix mince, seasoning, black pepper, salt, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce and egg.

    Create round balls with the mince mixture and gently flatten each ball to form a patty.

    Melt butter, place each patty and cook for 8 minutes (4 minutes each side). Top patties with cheese while the patties are still hot.

    Spread mayonnaise on bun bottoms, add rocket, bacon, burger patties, and salt and pepper to taste. Set bun tops in place.

    Serve with fries.
