Who doesn’t love a good trifle during the holidays? But just when you thought trifle couldn’t get any better, try this chocolate and caramel Christmas trifle!
A heavenly dessert that will dazzle your taste buds and delight your guests. This exquisite trifle is a symphony of rich flavours, perfectly layered to create a holiday masterpiece. The perfect way to indulge in the festive spirit.
Ingredients
- For the whipped cream
- 2 cups cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tin Caramel treat
- To assemble the trifle
- 2 Chocolate cake sponge
- 2 Tubs store bought chocolate mousse
- Cherries, as needed
- Chocolate shreds, as needed
Instructions
Make the vanilla whipped cream by mixing all ingredients together in a mixer bowl and beating on medium high speed until soft peaks form.
To layer the trifle, start with the sponge, then top with the mousse, then the caramel cream. Repeat this then top with plain whipped cream, cherries and chocolate shreds.
Transfer trifle in the fridge for 12 hours before serving. Trifle keeps in the fridge for 3 days.
