Doughnuts
Ingredients
- 180g (1½ cups) cake flour
- 100g (½ cup) castor sugar
- 7,5ml (1½ tsp) baking powder
- 125g butter, melted
- 180ml (¾ cup) milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten

Preheat the doughnut machine.

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Whisk in the butter, milk and egg until the mixture forms a smooth batter.

Spray the doughnut machine with cooking spray and pour in the batter. Close the lid and cook until doughnuts are golden, 7 – 8 minutes.

To make a glaze, melt 113g butter. Remove from heat and stir in 375g icing sugar and 10ml (2 tsp) vanilla essence until smooth. Stir in 90 – 140ml evaporated or full-cream milk, 15ml (1 tbsp) at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Dip doughnuts into glaze, allow to set and decorate.
