• Give your standard starchy side a spicy kick! Mini roast potatoes with cumin give an exciting new flavour dimension to a family favourite dish. Select even-sized biggish new potatoes. Roast potatoes are best served straight from the oven.

     

    Mini roast potatoes with cumin

    Serves: 6
    Cooking Time: 50 mins

    Ingredients

    • 1kg small potatoes, peeled
    • 80ml (1/3 cup) canola oil
    • 10ml (2 tsp) potato spice seasoning
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) turmeric
    • 10ml (2 tsp) ground cumin

    Instructions

    Boil the potatoes for 10 minutes in lightly salted water.

    Drain and score the potatoes with a fork to fluff up the outside.

    Mix the oil, potato spice seasoning, turmeric and cumin and toss the potatoes in this mixture.

    Roast for about 35 minutes with the lamb.

    Rev up the oven to 220°C and crisp up the potatoes while the meat is resting.
