    The origin of Nomhle Cooks

As a university student Nomhle began sharing her delicious recipes and cooking adventures through social media during the pandemic, hoping to find a larger community to engage with and share her passion. Her aim was to provide easy yet innovative recipes for her peers that were easily accessible in the kitchen.

She carefully and beautifully curated a range of mouth-watering beginner-friendly dishes that her followers could use as a stepping stone to begin their own cooking adventures. Each recipe prioritised using everyday ingredients which were versatile and held flavour that was tasty and wholesome. “I love using simple, everyday ingredients and emphasising techniques that are easy to master.” shares Nomhle.

As her account grew, she welcomed feedback from her followers who helped her to further expand and elevate her approach to cooking.

Nomhle’s key factors when making a dish:

“One key factor is simplicity. I also find that simple dishes resonate with my audience more. My audience consists mostly of individuals who are still learning how to cook and are finding their feet. Taste is non-negotiable. The food has to taste as good as it looks,” shares Nomhle
