• This strawberry lemonade is sweet, zesty and just what you need for those sunny December afternoons. Whether you’re poolside or hosting, it’s your go-to sip for summer vibes.

    Strawberry lemonade

    Ingredients

    • 6-8 lemons
    • 900 grams strawberries ( fresh or frozen)
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 6-8 cups water
    • To serve
    • Fresh strawberries
    • Lemons slices
    • Fresh mint

    Instructions

    CUT the skin, including outer white pith, off your lemons and cut the lemons into chunks.

    WASH and stem your strawberries.

    TOSS the lemon chunks, strawberries, sugar, and 4-6 cups of water into your blender and blend until coarsely pureed. Pour through a mesh strainer to remove any seeds. The lemonade will be very potent at this point and you can add as much of the remaining cup of water as you wish, or all of it, to taste.

    FILL glasses with ice and pour lemonade over and garnish with extra berry and/or lemon slices and mint

    Notes

    Food tip: You can also enjoy this by topping it up with some fizzy water
