    Smoky hot cross flip

    Ingredients

    • 1 whole raw organic egg
    • 40ml peated whiskey
    • 20ml pale dry Sherry
    • 25ml hot cross syrup (recipe here)
    • mini speckled chocolate eggs, to garnish

    Instructions

    Use an egg topper to open the egg. Pour out the contents and reserve. Rinse the eggshell, allow to dry, then spray-paint it gold.

    In a cocktail shaker, combine the egg with all the other ingredients. Top up with ice and shake hard for 15 – 20 seconds. Strain through a fine strainer into a small, chilled wine glass.

    Garnish by placing the gold eggshell on top, filled with the mini speckled chocolate eggs. Serve.
