Celebrity chef Fatima Sydow, known for her mastery of traditional South African cuisine, has been battling cancer. Throughout her journey, she’s shared her experiences and emotions with her followers on social media.
In a recent Instagram post, Fatima expressed her gratitude for the love and support she has received. She recounted a magical night that took place on 4 October at the Artscape Theater.
A group of exceptionally talented individuals gathered to honour her, bringing their life’s stories, hopes and dreams with them. They gave their all on the stage, creating an unforgettable evening that touched the hearts of everyone in attendance.
The event featured a lineup of talented artists who came to pay tribute to Fatima’s enduring legacy.
Names like Vicky Sampson, Jawaahier Petersen, Robin Pieters, Nuraan Boltman, Nur Abrahams, Alistair Izobell, Terry Fortune, Alfred Adriaan, Emo Adams, Donvino Prins, Salome, Madeegha Anders, Loukmaan Adams, Craig Lucas and Tyrone Paulsen graced the stage.
Directed by Basil Appollis, the night was a testament to the love and admiration Fatima has earned from her colleagues and fans.
‘If I don’t make it, know that WE actually did make it… If we feel like we didn’t win the battle… Know that we actually Did WIN,’ Fatima said in an Instagram caption.
