• Treat yourself this summer with an out-of-the-ordinary food and music festival sets up stage at the Ground The Venue in Muldersdrift on the 26-27th October.

The event was created by some of the country’s most creative and disruptive minds. The Luxurious Marble Circus is a grand collaboration by Marble Group, G&G productions, Grid Worldwide and Investec. The festival strays away from the usually expected and branches into a two-day event that combines the outdoor experience with fine dining, exquisite entertainment and spectacular theatrics.

    Fantastical feasting

Unlike traditional food festivals, the Luxurious Marble Circus embodies the quintessential Marble theatre of experience. Food and beverages are a celebration of South African culture and entertainment, and as guests indulge in fine dining, so do their senses.

Tickets are purchased for different areas, with an array of experiences available for everyone. A feature bar – central to the event – is a circus carousel playfully contrasted with the famously zoomorphic world of Zioux. Part bar, part art. An icon in the landscape.

Similarly, the Bar Extravaganza offers a mingling space with commanding views of the Luxurious Marble Stage and Playground in the Field is a fancy affair that connects all spaces, inviting guests to a Pantry-inspired Tasting Station tended to by esteemed chefs including David Higgs, the Lazy Makoti, Katsuhiko Miyamoto and Trevor Chikaura. The Fantastical Forest delivers a departure from the everyday with a curated selection of various branded bars showcasing sensational, specialist spirits.

To add ritz to the rendezvous, guests can purchase tickets to the Royal Lounge where wonderful wood-fired sharing plates inspired by Saint and prepared by David Higgs and guest J’Something promise to tantalise the tastebuds. For a fine-dining spectacular, the Grand Dining Room offers a realm of refined elegance and a decadent culinary affair once again orchestrated by David Higgs and special guest Reuben Riffel.

    Expect the unexpected

With whimsy and avant-garde adventure as inspiration, The Luxurious Marble Circus is a bazaar with a touch of the bizarre – an enchanting escape that awakens the senses and ignites the imagination. A hero of the weird, the wonderful and the enthralling, roaming performers will engage with guests throughout the day as they indulge in extraordinary hospitality, carousel bars and delectable dining.

Each area of The Luxurious Marble Circus offers guests a unique experience and lively luncheon within the different offerings of the Marble Group.  At sundown, the Luxurious Marble Circus Stage bursts to life with a plethora of astonishing acts to surprise and delight, ranging from circus performers to award-winning talent.

     A circus reimagined

“Finding creative ways to connect meaningfully with our people, clients and partners is something that we continuously seek,” says Itumeleng Merafe, Head: Private Bank South Africa, Investec. “Banking, wealth management and festive style gatherings are not usually intertwined, and The Luxurious Marble Circus partnership offers something that’s Out of the Ordinary.”

“Seeing this idea come to life over the past year has been incredible” says Adam Byars, Joint CEO and Partner at Grid Worldwide. “As brands look for opportunities to offer authentic experiences for their consumers, a festival like The Luxurious Marble Circus extends beyond; creating human connections that allows brands to show up in a lifestyle and entertainment space that is fun, relevant and that has never been done before.”

A festival of flavour and a get-together of good taste. Part picnic, part performance. Part concert, part caper. The Luxurious Marble Circus is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Tickets are available online from 13 June 2024. Visit www.luxuriousmarblecircus.com for more information.
