• Boschendal is preparing to celebrate the bountiful harvest of its sustainable and regenerative farm at this year’s Harvest Festival, taking place from March 31st to April 2nd.

    The weekend festival will feature delicious flavours, mouth-watering food, live entertainment, family-friendly activities and more, providing guests with an unforgettable opportunity to experience the farm life their way at one of South Africa’s most iconic and historic farms.

    Friday Night Market

    On Friday, March 31st, celebrate Boschendal’s harvest at the Friday Night Market. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon and evening under the stars, listening to live music, enjoying delicious seasonal food, and sipping on Boschendal’s award-winning wines and bubbles. An exciting selection of harvest festival activities designed for younger explorers will instil a love of the farm life in even the youngest visitor. Entrance is free from 3pm to 9pm.

    The Harvest Market

    On Saturday, April 1st, Boschendal is bringing the abundant flavours of harvest to your basket with a farmers’ market showcasing the best of this year’s harvest. Stock up on farm-fresh produce and breakfast-to-go items, and don’t forget to bring the kids: a wonderful selection of carousel rides, face painting and other kid-friendly activities will be available. The Harvest Market takes place at The Werf from 9am to midday, and entrance is free.

    Saturday Plum Fermentation Workshop 

    For the more adventurous culinary enthusiast or health-conscious visitor, book now for the Saturday Plum Fermentation Workshop hosted in partnership with Kombukarious on Saturday, April 2nd. Learn how you can use Boschendal’s delicious, sweet plums to make your own Plum Kombucha and Water Kefir. Get to grips with fermentation and make your own kimchi before enjoying a garden walk, ending in a delectable plum kombucha ice cream enjoyed in Boschendal’s secret rose garden. Space is limited, and costs are R850 per person.

    Harvest Long Table Lunch

    To round off a wonderful weekend, join our Harvest Long Table Lunch on Sunday, April 2nd. Hosted under Boschendal’s iconic oaks surrounded by the beautiful historic manor houses, the Harvest Long Table Lunch is the perfect place to enjoy the best produce of this year’s harvest. From artisanal breads made in Boschendal’s bakery to sharing plates and chargrilled vegetables sourced straight from our Werf Food Garden, this promises to be an unforgettable culinary experience. Space is limited, so guests are encouraged to book early. Costs are R850 per adult (with a choice of a meat or vegetarian menu) and R150 per child.
