A prime Sandton venue with rooftop views and delicious healthy dining awaits!
Introducing a not-so-secret venue for foodies to expand their skillset and for the curious to explore. Think date nights with a difference, milestone birthday parties, memorable team building events, fun family cook-alongs, classes for kids, and more.
Celeste Williams, head of marketing at Discovery Vitality says it isn’t a regular restaurant option, which makes the Vitality HealthyFood Studio more exciting. “We encourage individuals, friend groups, couples, corporates or anyone who loves food to try our signature cooking classes and make it an occasion. Our chefs will teach people of all ages how fresh ingredients can be turned into sustainable, healthy meals with a dash of delicious.”
Some of the recent events hosted at the HealthyFood Studio include:
A new Argentine class: Starting off with the Black bean and corn empanada, with chicken and chimichurri rojo (red) or ostrich carne asada, cooked to perfection and served with sage flatbread and salsa. For dessert, dulce de leche parfait.
Thai Food healthy cooking class: Learn to make a memorable crying tiger Thai beef fillet, a fragrant Thai green curry and bananas in coconut milk for dessert.
Kids classes: Children over 8 years old can learn to whip up their own easy and healthy meals – nachos with pineapple salsa, classic comfort food the healthy way, deliciously dreamy mac n cheese, Tex-Mex chicken and bean burgers plus a refreshing Greek salad. For a sweet treat, adorable gingerbread folk cookies.
There’s an option for every taste – from Asian to Mediterranean cuisine, healthy baking, pasta and gourmet braai classes – and yes, it is all healthy and nutritious while remaining flavourful.
“My favourite is our Mexican three-course dinner fiesta which includes zesty chicken or vegetable enchiladas, baked white fish in a cilantro sauce, a smoky and delicious beef short rib tortilla soup and the best-ever Mexicana rice pudding with nuts and pineapple you’ve ever had,” says Williams.
“Not only is the venue gorgeous, but we maintain the ethos that food is the language of love and celebration – and it can be healthy too,” she adds.
