If you’re looking for a unique and quirky experience in Simon’s Town, look no further than Collectables Hub and Cafe.
Tucked away at the top of a long, narrow staircase is a treasure trove of vintage memorabilia, collectables and quirky statues, all with a stunning view of Simon’s Town Harbour from the café deck.
Upon entering Collectables Hub and Cafe, you’ll be greeted with a large red London phone booth, a dinosaur fossil, a pink lion’s head and a gigantic electric guitar. And that’s just the beginning.
Wander through aisles lit up with neon lights, decked with miniature cars and comic book memorabilia. The antique collectables are always changing, so every visit will be a unique experience.
One room, painted in shades of hot pink, is dedicated to a thrift store with vintage swimwear, designer clothing and more.
Or get cosy in the book nook that offers a selection of collectable books including design, art and more. You might even find a bargain in one of the vintage suitcases.
All this exploring might work up an appetite, so why not make use of the scenic ocean view and enjoy a selection of freshly baked cakes, including the famous carrot cake and other patisseries.
You can make a day of it, order a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a toasted sandwich while you play a round of your favourite board game with your friends.
The washed-out picnic tables and fun stools on the deck get plenty of sun, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Bring your furry friends along too! Dogs are welcome to join you for lunch or when wandering around the space.
