    They are specialists in old-fashioned Mac ’n’ Cheese with modern twists – made with three local and imported cheeses and finished with a sourdough Parmesan crunch. Toppings include The Hangover (bacon, garlic mushrooms and truffle-infused oil) and Marley (basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and feta). The bacon and feta-studded Mac Balls are superb too.     Visit AndRoc’s kitchen food trailer when you’re around Kommetjie for their famous Brunch Bun – freshly baked from stone ground flour, toasted and topped with crispy bacon, fried egg and their secret chilli relish. Also try the Snoek Pâté & Sesame Seed Ciabatta Open Toastie.

    M’s Coffee-2-Go

    FOOD TRUCK

    Highest quality coffee and fire-baked roosterkoek is served from this floral van on the N7, Moorreesburg. Roosterkoek favourites include chicken mayo; biltong, cheese and chutney; and traditional cheese and jam. You will also find
    frappés, milkshakes and fruit slushies.

    The Bali Food Truck

    Located in Cape Town, this Indonesian foodie truck’s signature foods include nasi goreng (fried rice); beef rendang (coconut beef stew) and chicken satay. Their pop-up ‘Rijsttafel’ (Rice Table) experience comprises 15 Indonesian dishes.

    Experience a Capetonian approach to Mediterranean street food. Favourites include canapés, mushroom arancini, poke bowls, and the popular buttermilk- fried chicken burgers.     FOOD TRUCK

    Here, you’ll find frozen yoghurt made from local yoghurt full of live cultures and probiotics, low in calories and gluten-free. Choose from gourmet flavours (such as chocolate mousse, wild strawberry and English toffee) and twelve toppings (fresh fruit, nuts, various chocolates and other sweet delights). Find them around Joburg.

    Pick from their four food trucks and trailers to cater to whatever your entertaining needs are – harvest tables, Asado grill, vegetarian experiences, pizzas, pregos, tapas, paella, churros – the list goes on. They’re based in Johannesburg,
    but they travel all over SA.

    It’s a party-on-wheels truck with a custom-built sound system, plasma screen and restaurant-grade kitchen that provides street food such as smash burgers, New York-style hot dogs and gourmet ‘boerie’ rolls. Find them around Joburg and Durban.

    Kwazulu-Natal

    Fudart strEATERY

    The big orange bus is an upmarket kitchen on wheels, based in Durban. They serve up various styles of cuisines, from gourmet burgers to fine dining. Their menus are diverse, with favourites including Asian chilli chicken bao buns, dim sum and Mexican nachos. Their secondary food truck, Flamingo Tails and Shakes, serves a range of drinks from mocktails to gourmet shakes.

    This is a great mobile addition to the three popular restaurants in Umhlanga, Florida and Suncoast. Authentic Indian foods such as tandoori chicken or lamb, wraps, stuffed parathas and traditional Indian drinks are served.

    Balkan Burger

    Some say ‘the best burger in the universe’ (made from triple A-grade beef with their secret sauce, tomato, onion, coleslaw and lettuce) is found at this truck in Gqeberha. They recently opened their first flagship store at Boardwalk Mall.

    The Wafelbak

    FOOD TRUCK

    Spoil yourself with Liege-style Belgian waffles served with their own brand of home-made ice creams. Their toffee sauce topping as well as Crispy Chicken Fillet Waffle Burger are must-tries. Located in Qheberha, find them weekdays at Nelson Mandela University.

    Foongs

    This Asian mobile kitchen is situated in Chicky’s Yard, Gqeberha. Favourites include dim sum, spring rolls, noodles and sweet-and-sour chicken. Their Asian veggies are organic and specially grown for them.
