We’ve spoken about air fryers non-stop. Here we name another excellent kitchen appliance that makes cooking a breeze: the instant pot.
You’ve seen the TikTok and Pinterest posts gushing over these electric pressure cookers. But an instant pot is more than just a glorified pressure cooker. You can do so much in these pots, and they save can you so much time.
Here are the top four reasons why you need to add an instant pot to your cooking arsenal.
It’s super safe and user-friendly
Modern Instant Pots come with a variety of safety features, including pressure overload protection and automatic shut-off. They’re also surprisingly user-friendly, with easy-to-read control panels and readily available recipes online and in cookbooks.
It’s easy to clean
The stainless steel inner pot is dishwasher safe, making clean-up a breeze. Plus, since you’re using just one pot for most recipes, there’s less mess to deal with overall.
It saves so much time
One of the best things about an instant pot is that it can save you so much time. Whip a pot of stew in well under an hour (with prep time!) The ultra-high pressure makes even the toughest meat tender, and it cooks veggies perfectly – every time.
You can basically just toss your ingredients into the pot, press the respective button, and walk away. It leaves you with limited dishes and the ability to do anything else for half an hour.
More than just a stew cooker
One of the best things about an instant pot is that it can cook a lot more than just stews and soups. It’s also a slow cooker, rice cooker, yoghurt maker and even browning skillet. You can also “bake” in it
While I haven’t tried a no-bake cheesecake in my Instant Pot yet, I have made rice, stews, and one killer lasagne! Next to my air fryer, it’s the best appliance in my home.
