Exciting times are in store for South Africa’s restaurant scene as the South Africa Restaurant Awards (SARATABLE) has proudly announced its second annual ceremony.
The South Africa Restaurant Awards will honour South Africa’s culinary excellence at the esteemed Hotel Sky in Sandton on April 7, 2025.
Sara Kensington, Partnerships Director of the South Africa Restaurant Awards, expressed her enthusiasm commenting ‘we are honoured to spotlight the outstanding talents within South Africa’s culinary community and provide a platform that recognises their hard work and dedication.’
Reflecting the richness and diversity of South Africa’s culinary landscape, the award categories are open for public voting.
This public-driven recognition serves as a testament to the vibrant and exceptional quality of the country’s restaurants, bars, chefs, and hospitality professionals.
Voting will be live from February 10, 2025, until March 30, 2025, on the social network platform Telephonos.
Customers, staff and the general public are encouraged to cast their votes to support their favourite establishments and personalities.
A variety of restaurants were nominated for the best restaurant in Cape Town 2025. The list includes esteemed establishments such as Nobu, La Colombe, The Codfather, Pot Luck Club, Salsify, Ginja, Chefs Warehouse, FYN, Grub & Vine, Pier and Tang Asian Luxury Restaurant.
Restaurants based in the Mother City also dominated the nominations list for the Best Restaurant in the Western Cape 2025.
Featured restaurants include the Pier Restaurant at the V&A Waterfront and Salsify at the Roundhouse, located in Camps Bay.
The nominations list for the Best Culinary Experience 2025 includes La Colombe, in Cape Town, Post & Pepper Restaurant located in Stellenbosch and The Test Kitchen Fledgelings also based in Cape Town.
