Skip the queue at the drive-through and make these scrumptious crispy chicken strips instead. This dish is the perfect light snack or spoil for the kiddies.
Crispy chicken strips
Ingredients
- 2-2/3 cups crushed saltines (about 80 crackers)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch strips
- Oil for frying
Instructions

In a shallow bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. In another shallow bowl, beat egg and milk.

Dip chicken into egg mixture, then cracker mixture.

In a frying pan, heat oil until very hot.

Fry the chicken for 2-3 min on each side or until its golden brown. Once cooked, drain on paper towels.
