This scrumptious one-pot lasagna not only super delicious, but so easy to make. This twist on a classic dish is sure to get the praises from the entire family. Why not give it a try this weekend?
One-pot lasagne
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 500 grams beef mince
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp chilli flakes, optional
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried Italian mixed herbs
- 6-10 lasagne sheets ,
- 400 grams tomato passata
- 3 tsp beef stock
- 2 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup mozzarella, grated
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
- Fresh basil leaves, for serving
Instructions
HEAT oil in a large pan over medium heat.
COOK onion until soft.
ADD the mince and cook to brown. Season.
STIR in garlic, tomato paste, chilli flakes, paprika and herbs, and cook for 5 minutes.
ADD the lasagna sheets, tomato passata, beef stock powder and water, and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, gently pressing pasta sheets into sauce.
COVER with lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring gently every 5 minutes for even cooking. (Make sure pasta is covered in sauce and not sitting on top.)
TOP with cheese and cook for another 10 minutes with the lid on until the cheese has melted.
SERVE garnished with basil.
Notes
You can also add spoonfuls of ricotta in between the lasagne sheets and mince for an extra creaminess >
